Alex Ragozzino has called Ward 2 home for over 20 years, raising his family in the same neighbourhoods and using the same streets, parks, and local businesses as the residents he hopes to represent.
His deep roots in the community mean he understands firsthand the pressures facing Mississauga families, from road congestion and development concerns to reducing crime and addressing rising property taxes.
A business professional with years of civic engagement experience, Alex has volunteered with local community organizations, participated in neighbourhood initiatives, and worked closely with residents and other stakeholders to address community issues.
His practical background and commitment make him ready to step into the City Councillor role from day one.

What Alex Stands For
Community Safety
Alex is committed to safer streets and reduced crime across Ward 2 by working closely with Peel Regional Police and community stakeholders. Recognizing that local safety requires strong laws, he will also use his voice at City Hall to advocate for federal bail reform to keep repeat offenders off our streets.
Infrastructure & Roads
Ward 2 deserves reliable, well-maintained streets, reduced congestion, and efficient transit. Alex will advocate for prudent investments and address aging infrastructure because safe, dependable infrastructure is the backbone of a thriving community.
Responsible Development
Alex believes in balancing growth with protecting Ward 2’s unique character. To navigate housing mandates, he would support focusing density around transit hubs and push for developments that contribute positively to the neighbourhood without straining local services and infrastructure.
Parks & Green Spaces
Ward 2's parks, trails, and green spaces are essential to the health and well-being of families and outdoor enthusiasts. Alex will advocate for the strict preservation of these areas, ensure their upkeep, and support new recreational opportunities for all ages. He will also champion policies that protect our natural habitats and support a balanced coexistence with the wildlife that shares our neighbourhoods.

Alex will support strengthening the local services Ward 2 residents rely on, with a focus on seniors and youth. He will champion local programs that allow seniors to safely age in place, alongside youth initiatives that foster positive, offline community engagement to counter the negative pressures of social media.

Alex knows rising property taxes are a major concern, and he will prioritize financial planning that respects your hard-earned money.
